Redesigning the book cover of the novel Life of Pi by Yann Martel, I tried to create a dynamic image that captured the harrowing journey of the protagonist. By surrounding the boy in the image of a menacing tiger whose stripes turn into the waves of the ocean, I showed the central struggles of the protagonist as well as giving hint to the novel's overarching “circle-of-life” theme.
